If I have a friend that I pay to watch my kids while I go to work can I put that on my taxes?

    Yes, if you pay to send your child to someone to watch them while you go to work, you can deduct the expenses on your tax return under the dependent care tax credit.   If you have one qualifying child, your dependent care expense is limited to $3,000.  If you have two or more, the limit is $6,000.
