If I have only a W-2 and bank interest forms, what level of TurboTax product will I need in order to file?

Will I be able to file for free with only these documents, or will I need to purchase a certain level of TurboTax?

If the interest income is less than $1,500 then a Schedule B would not be required. In this case you can use the Free online edition.

I also only have w-2 and bank interest, but I didn't receive 1099-INT. In the beginning, I chose Free Edition. After I fill it out, I was asked to upgrade Deluxe. I do not know the reason. Thank you.

There may have been other scenarios you entered in your tax return that would require you to upgrade to the Deluxe version. To use TurboTax Free edition, you would need to make sure it is right for you.
