Question

If I have to tip out to other people for my job, should that be a deductible for my taxes?

I work as a waitress where I have to tip out to my bartender and food runner every day I work. I have the amount I tipped out for the year, is that something I can deduct and where would I put that?

If your employer includes it in your wages on your W-2, you can't deduct it.  You should talk to your employer about adjusting the amount of tips that are reported to account for the tip-outs.  It's a problem in the industry.
