If i live and work in yonkers but my agency is located in brooklyn
i work for a nursing home in yonkers but the agency is located in brooklyn and i live in yonkers too
You will need to file Yonkers income tax surcharge on your NY resident state income tax return since this is where you both live and work. You will not have any NYC filings related to your agency being located in Brooklyn.
You must report your Yonkers resident income tax surcharge on your state return if you:
- were a Yonkers resident for the tax year, and
- have to file a New York State return.
