Florida does not impose an income tax at the state level.

However, there is a sales tax (and most likely local county tourist development tax) which may apply if you rent on a short term basis.

Further, counties can impose a tangible personal property tax on personal property used in connection with your rental.

If your property is rented unfurnished and for a period over 6 months, you do not need to be concerned with either of the foregoing.
