If i qualify as dependent but was not claimed as a dependent on another return can i take the full standard deduction (single 12K)?

    No, you cannot.  Your standard deduction will be reduced.  If you qualify for a dependent for someone else, even they don't claim you on their return, IRS will still adjust your standard deduction.  

    In the program, under "My Info" or "Personal Info", you still check the box says "someone else can claim you".
