Question

If I received a 1099-G for my PFL pay what do I input for "PFL Income Received from Insurance Company"? Note it says don't include PFL income reported on 1099-G? So 0?

For this box would I just put 0? If I'm not supposed to put the income reported on my 1099-G, I'm confused what to put here. Turbo Tax auto populated an amount which looks like it's my total wages? That doesn't seem right.. there is a box that I have to check that says I've reviewed the above amount and adjusted, if necessary.

Your PFL income is taxable on your federal return but not your California state return. TurboTax should automatically exclude the 1099-G from your California income. If the amount carried over to your California return is not zero, then enter zero.

Follow these steps to enter your 1099-G in TurboTax.
