Solved

If I’ve been living with my partner for a year and a half and we’re not married. Can I claim them as a dependent if they don’t work? We also have a child together.

You can claim the child as a dependent. You can also claim your partner as a dependant if their gross income was under $5,050 for 2024 and you provide over half of their support.  Excluded from gross income is 1) tax-exempt income and 2) income earned by a totally and permanently disabled person at a sheltered workshop operated by a tax-exempt organization or government agency that provides special instruction to alleviate the disability. to be excluded, the income must be incidental to medical care and must come solely from activities at the workshop.
