Question

If I worked inside the city for 4 months and outside of the city the rest of the year and I am not a resident of the city, are my wages for the whole year taxable?

I paid the local taxes while working in the city, but why would I need to pay local taxes  on the income I earned while working for a company outside the city for the rest of the year?

If your income is from that city, it may be taxable. Each city tax is different. Some cities charge you because your company is there while others only charge when you actually work there, while others charge residents. What city and state?
