Question

If it only cost me$149.20 to file my taxes why was $256 deducted??

We cannot see your bill, but TurboTax software is priced so that the more complicated your return, the more it will cost, but that does not account for the increase in what you paid.

You most likely have some additional addons like LIVE, or MAX.  Please check you receipt.
