If Line 15 is blank on my w2 but it’s asking for tips and wages here what should I do

If you live in a state that does not have income tax, you should make sure that all the boxes in the state section on TurboTax are completely blank.

If the employer's state ID number is not listed on your W-2 (and you live in a state that does have an income tax), you can enter the federal ID number (EIN) in box 15. Make sure that the state where you work is correctly selected from the Box 15 drop-down menu, if it has not already been pre-populated by the TurboTax program.

Box 15 on the W2 does not reference tips and wages.
