Question

If my 1099-INT form does not have a state, but Turbotax is telling me to correct that to proceed, what do I do?

My high yield savings account provided me with a 1099-INT form, with no state information under box 15. Turbotax keeps telling me to fix that information by not leaving it blank, even though box 15 is blank on my 1099-INT.

If box 17 of your 1099-INT is zero or blank, leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 empty in TurboTax. Do not enter anything. Do not enter zero in box 17.

follow @rjs advice but if still can't resolve then just delete this 1099 (presumably imported) and enter it manually
