Question

If my dependent made over $4,400 gross in 2022 but it was 100% loss, therefore they're not required to file, do I say their gross was less than $4,400 since it was loss?

They're also not required to file since it's ebay income and they don't have to file if they earned less than $20,000 AND less than 200 transactions.

If your dependent is considering their Ebay income as Self-Employment Income, and their Net Business Income is under $400, they are not required to file a return and you can still claim them as your Dependent.
