Question

If one of my taxes was E Filed & the other says “ready to mail,” will I receive the E File regardless? Or will it wait for the other to be mailed in?

"Ready to mail" means that you have to print and mail that tax return yourself.

To get a copy of your returns please see How do I get a copy of a return I filed this year in TurboTax Online?

Or you can try these printing instructions:

  1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
  2. Select Tax Home in the left menu.
  3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
  4. Select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this opens the return back up)
  5. Select Tax Tools on the left and then Print Center and choose the print center
  6. Select returns and choose to print just the tax return or to include all worksheets as well.

Federal and state are completely separate.  If you efiled Federal it doesn't need to wait for state to be mailed to get your refund.

Was your Federal Accepted?  You can check your efile status here
