Question

If pending refund amounts for state and federal do not match the numbers from when I submitted my efile. I have 2 w2s from the same employer and one is showing in my AGI?

My AGI on the Tax Homepage doesn't much what was on my returns when submitted. My refund amounts are different then when I submitted and My AGI is less the exact amount of one of my w2s. Would the software delete one of my w2s as they are from the same employer?

No.  TurboTax would not delete the W-2, and generally there should not be two W-2s from the same employer.

I suggest printing the return and compare to the W-2s received.  If that does not help, make sure that one of your W-2s is not a Corrected W-2.

If neither of the above statements  addresses your concern, please reach out to us with additional  details as to why you received two W-2s from the same employer.

I have two w2s from the same employer because of a name change by my employer in 2020. I received one w2 from prior to the name change and one after. The 2 w2s were submitted with my efile but only one is in my tax return print out and my AGI on the tax homescreen for 2020 is equal to the amount minus the missing w2. I hope that makes sense.

I assume if turbo tax is unable to undo the efile I will be forced amend my return. I don't understand how this error could have happened but it definitely isn't fair to the consumer.
