If the the return is rejected will payment to IRS still go thru or cancel from Turbo Tax?

Return was rejected because of previous file.  Previous file still good but need to pay but Turbo Tax already submitted payment but the file was rejected.

Payment will not be processed until return is accepted by the IRS.
