If we filed under Katie Tweddell but her legal name is katelyn Tweddell will it be ok?

It should be. Generally, the IRS matches social security numbers and last names. If there is an issue, the IRS will either reject the return (then you can log in and correct the name), or send you a letter letting you know what you need to do.
