If we have simple W2 and savings contributions, why are we paying 59.99 to file?

TurboTax has changed what's included in the Free Edition.  The TurboTax FAQ below explains why you are being asked to upgrade to a paid edition.

My suspicion is that you have a Schedule 3 as a part of the interview asking about Retirement Savings Credit.  This schedule can be removed by using the answer provided by TurboTaxAlanT to a similar question.  See that answer below.
