If your state IL, gets rejected how do you fix it? Everytime I try it tells me I have an invalid email, (not true), how do I fix this?

Try this article for Illinois signature requirements when Illinois e-fie is rejected.

Otherwise, since it has not been accepted, you could theoretically delete the state and re-add it.

To delete and re-add the state:

From the left menu select State>
Continue>next to your state, click the Trash Can icon and follow through the rest of the questions ending with Done
Click Add Another State>Your state>and go through the interview again.

Mainly, be sure you are operating in an incognito Chrome browser window. This would assure that there was no cache & cookie issue, holding on to any old input that was subsequently updated.
