Im confused on why it says payment completed on the payment status what does it mean

My payment status is not pending anymore what does that mean

If you click on Order Details for the tax year in question it will take you to your fees owed and how you chose to pay them. If you selected to be taken from refund it shows that the payment was pending. But has since changed to payment completed. This, making it seem like turbotax got their fee paid but we didn't get our refund.

When your file your tax return successfully and you choose to pay your fees from your Federal refund, the TurboTax program considers the fee paid, even though the federal refund has not been released yet. This is why you see "Payment Completed".

As soon as your return is accepted by the IRS, your info shows at SBTPG, it should have your expected refund amount and it will say that they have not received your refund yet. Once they have your return it will update and tell you when they received it, what they received, what they deducted and when they sent it to your direct deposit account.

Mine also says the same , it was saying pending up until late this morning then changed and said payment completed. I’m hoping this is a good sign the money will be coming in shortly.

Any updates? Mine changed from pending payment to payment completed but no DDD from IRS.

I’d also like to know what this means. I filed February 16th, accepted same day. I’ve checked my Order status since a week after filing, looked almost every day. It’s now April 6th, and I see it’s been officially changed to Payment complete, from payment pending. The irs has been no help. I haven’t gotten any kind of a update besides still being processed. Can a Turbo Tax expert please clarify what this means and is it in anyway a sign that it’s about to be deposited?

Whatever acceptance date you received from Turbo Tax is valid; what is being said in the thread is that if you elected to have your Turbo Tax preparation fees deducted from your refund, that service is processed by a third party - Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG). Your payment at some point will reflect as paid due to the election of this service. Once the IRS processes your return and subsequently approves any anticipated refund, then SBTPG will deduct their fee and then issue you the difference @Lholguin9.
