Im trying to figure out where to enter a 1099-MISC form I got from working trade shows. I don't own the business and just did it on weekends.

Income reported in box 7 of Form 1099-MISC is categorized as self-employment income. When you receive this type of income you are being paid as a subcontractor and must report your earnings on Schedule C. You are reporting your earnings as a sole proprietor and will use your home address as your business address. Please follow the directions below to report your income on Schedule C:

1. Log in and open your return
2. Type Schedule C into the search field.
3. Click the Jump To link in the search results
4. Answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
5. Answer the questions about your line of work and you will eventually reach the screen to enter your income.
