Importing 1099-R from Vanguard not available in 2022?

Forms are now available, but the only bank suggestion I get for Vanguard is Brokerage Account, not the Fiduciary Account (for the 1099-R). Checking back, I see that it was not available last year either. Has anyone been able to import their 1099-R this year from Vanguard?

Don't know why you can't import it but just enter it manually.  The easiest way to get to the 1099-R entry screen is to simply search for 1099-R (upper- or lower-case, with or without the dash) in your TurboTax program and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.

    Enter a 1099R under

Federal Taxes Tab or Personal (Home & Business)

Wages & Income at the top

Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security,

Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plans (1099R) - click Start or Revisit

There are 4 boxes.  Be sure to pick the right box for the kind of 1099R you got.

If you are filing a Joint return be sure to pick which person it is for.

Don't enter the bank or broker name and don't try to import it.  It is just as fast and easy to manually enter it.  At the bottom pick -  Change How I enter my Form

Then on the next screen pick I'll Type it in Myself

According to our approved Import Partners list, the 2 options for Vanguard should be: Brokerage Account and Mutual Fund Accounts.

Indeed, both of those account options are proposed. But no Fiduciary Account option, so no importing of 1099-R. That seems a little silly, but maybe there's a good reason.

Today (3/13/2023), there were options for brokerage and mutual fund accounts from Vanguard.  However, when I tried to import the forms for mutual fund accounts, I got a message saying there were no forms to import.  That's wrong, as I am have the paper copy of the form in front of me.

The figure has to be entered manually from the form Vanguard makes available. Luckily, it's not complicated at all, just a small inconvenience.
