I couldn't find my downloaded Turbo Tax from earlier this year. So I downloaded it again however now the 1099s I already did aren't there. I can find them online but I don't know how to import them to my new software download.

1099s you imported and entered into your tax return?  If you started a tax return in the Desktop program it ends in .tax2019.  Are you on Windows or Mac?

You used the Desktop program?  It doesn't show up when you open the program and go to File-Open?

The data file ends in .tax2019 and should be in Documents in a Turbo Tax subfolder.  Search your computer for all files ending in .tax.  And check the Recycle Bin.  The PDF file should be saved there too.  If you don't have the actual .tax2019 file you might the the temporary file you can use.  It also ends in .tax2019 but starts with a Tilde ~ sign.

Find your Tax file in Windows

Then After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).

Then go to FILE -Open and find your return.
