Question

In middle of doing taxes and get forced into a License Agreement

Working on Windows CD version of Turbotax and all was going well.  Then today decided to work on them some more and there was an update to Turbotax.  I did the update and a new screen pops up called License Agreement and I can't finish my taxes unless I agree.  It would take a lawyer to read and understand that stuff, it was never there before and now I am in middle of doing taxes and can't continue unless I agree.

I should get a refund for the price of software.  Rules shouldn't be changed in middle of doing the taxes.

Wonder if this is even legal, should contact State Consumer protection at AG office as well as BBB.

The license terms and agreement is for tax year 2022. You can find more details about it in the below link.

If you would like to request a refund for your software, please see this TurboTax Help Article: How do I request a refund for my TurboTax product?

Still believe this to be less than honest.  I start out and buy your software and get taxes half done, then all of a sudden I can't finish until I sign an agreement.  So I guess I will have to agree, but will also file complaint with the Consumer Protection Attorney General and BBB to see their view on changing the rules in middle of the process.  They may say it's fine, I don't know.  But seems unhanded to me, so I will let them tell me.

    Thanks for your reply.
