Question

In order to file schedule M1MT, you must complete and attach Federal Form 6251, returns without Form 6254 can't be efiled. How do you fill out Form 6254?

I'm assuming you're referring to Form 6251 (Alternative Minimum Tax). Go to:

 

11) Federal

12) Other Tax Situations

13) Alternative Minimum Taxes. If it is needed for your return, TurboTax will generate it, and it will be efiled with your return.

 

If you are not referring to Form 6251, please provide the name of your state so we can research the state instructions for Form 6254.

I have completed the 6251 and yet I still get the error that it isn't complete and attaching to state return so I can't e file state return.  This seems to be a Turbo Tax glitch - How do I fix problem?
