It says I can go back and change it, but it keeps listing the same exact amount for the credit. For time off and family leave I said I wanted to use 2019 first and now it is stuck on that amount. On EIC I said I wanted to use 2020 first, and now it is stuck with that amount.

If you earned income was higher in 2019 than in 2020, you can use the 2019 earned income to claim your EITC.  There is nothing to do different with family leave and time off.  You will either use all of 2019 earned income or all of 2020 earned income.  There is no way to split it up between the two tears.  Use which ever year gives the best EITC.  For most taxpayers, that is 2019.

This year, to support economic relief from the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress passed a new 'lookback rule' which means if you earned less in 2020, you can use either your 2019 or 2020 earned income for your Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit—whichever one gets you the most money back.
