My Daughter (who is my dependent) worked a job in a restaurant in the UK and earned a few thousand pounds. She contributed half to her Roth IRA earlier in the year. Is she able to use the foreign income to fund her Roth IRA contribution for 2023? Assume I need to file a separate return for her to show the income.

Yes, taxable earned income qualifies . See page 38 of Pub 590a.

If she is a US citizen, she is required to report all worldwide income, if she is required to file a return.
