Question

Income error?

My husband and I each received $487 MN Frontline pay.  The total amount of $974 shows up in 2 places on our 1040:    $974 on Line 1h

               $974 on Line 8

I believe I made an error, but don't know how to fix it.  I think the $974 should only be on Line 8.

I cannot figure out how to remove it from Line 1h.

In the worksheets, our total Miscellaneous Income shows as $1948 (double the correct amount).

Help!

    You will want to edit: Remove it from Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099 and add it (you may just add the two entries and make one entry) in Other Reportable Income.  You will then be able to remove it as Minnesota income.
