Question

Income was NOT line 10 in 2019

While working on gain/loss carryovers, TurboTax Home & Business 2020 instructs you at least twice to get your (taxable) income from 2019 Form 1040 line 10. However, based on my saved copies of Form 1040, taxable income was reported on line 11b in 2019. I think the instructions were carried over (no pun intended) from TurboTax 2019 because line 10 would be correct if referring back to 2018 Form 1040.

Am I correct this is an error in TurboTax's guidance?

Well, actually that link led me to waiting on phone hold for 1 hour. Not exactly what I appreciate when I'm informing YOU (Intuit) about a software error.

Reporting the same error in Turbotax Premier 2020 regarding Line 10 for income (which is incorrect).

Yes, PS is aware of this and working on it. The challenge is making the change and have it not affect anything else. They are aware, however, thank you for the note!!
