My uncle passed away in Massachusetts state, I am the executor(Residing in CA)  of this estate and my father and  uncles are beneficiaries of the states. All my uncle's and father are non-resident aliens and don't  live in US. My concern is "Will my father and uncle's are liable for inheritance tax". I understand that Estate is taxable, and being executor I will be responsible for it. But do my father's and uncle liable for any taxes in US. Please help me understand individual taxes obligation in US

Massachusetts does not have an inheritance tax but it does have an estate tax. The estate, itself, will be responsible for paying any estate tax due and you, as executor, will be responsible for filing a federal and Massachusetts estate tax return, if necessary.

See https://www.mass.gov/guides/a-guide-to-estate-taxes

Regardless, as executor, you should absolutely consult with a legal and/or tax professional who is experienced in federal and MA estate and trust taxation (as well as probate procedure).
