Question

intrastate witholding and reciprocity

I am a Pa resident and work in NY.  Pa and NJ have reciprocity so only Pa state tax is taken from my check.  However, this year (2019) NJ family leave insurance was deducted.  Also, I am not sure if the deducted UI insurance is from Pa or NJ.   How should this be handled?   Are NJ deductions correct?

Thank you

The premiums you pay for your New Jersey Family Leave Insurance would be reported on your Resident Pennsylvania state return.

Only income earned or income taxes paid in New Jersey would be reported on a New Jersey State return.

    Check your W-2, Boxes 14-17.
