The IRS gave me a 6 digit IP Pin but when I enter it into the Turbo Tax Federal Information Worksheet, the program only lets me enter 5 of the 6 digits.

In the File section of the program it is asking for a 5 digit PIN for e-filing the tax return.  You can choose any 5 digits.

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
    Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button

Yes, there are two separate PIN numbers that may be on your tax return. If your PIN has six digits, it's an IP PIN. Here's where to enter it:

    1. Sign in to TurboTax Online.
    2. Select Other Tax Situations.
    3. Select Start or Update to the right of Identity Protection PIN.
    4. Answer the first question Yes.
    5. Select  Add to the right of your name.
    6. Enter the number on the next screen.
    7. Continue your tax return.
