Question

IRS filing is being delayed because the IRS does not have some of the forms I need ready for filing yet but, can my state taxes be filed now?

It’s form 4562 which the table says will be available 01/31. Thanks for the link, that helped ease my mind.

NO, you cannot efile a state return unless it is efiled at the same time as the Federal return, or after the Federal return has been efiled and accepted.   You cannot efile a  State return first.
