I received a letter from THE IRS that the SLCSP (market place premium) does not match their records. I verified with the market place that it is correct. I need help on what to do.

Respond politely to the IRS, explaining that you talked to your Marketplace rep who said that the SLCSP was correct. If possible, attach a copy of your communication with the Marketplace, or at least the contact information for your marketplace.

 

Also be sure that you respond in a timely manner - many IRS letters say that they expect a response within 3 weeks. In any case, do what the IRS letter says.

 

Br sure to identify your response with the info in the upper right hand corner (letter type, date, case number (if one)), and any other info to help the IRS identify the original letter.

 

Letters with the IRS are common, so don't be stressed. If you are correct, just provide the proof, and it should all work out.
