Question

Is a bonus I received from my job I had at the beginning of 2024 in New York subject to special accrual in Connecticut?

I'm filing my Connecticut taxes. Until October, I lived and worked in New York and was laid off. I received a bonus as part of my severance. Is that bonus subject to special accrual in Connecticut?

If you were living in New York at the time the bonus was paid, then it is not taxable by Connecticut (CT).  If you moved to Connecticut after being laid off and were living there when you received the bonus, then it would be taxable by CT.
