Is a way to "browse" the files on my computer to import a 1099 data file?

Trying to file a return for a previous year. When trying to upload from brokerage I get a message that no files are available. They are available and I see them on my brokerage account.

Importing 1099 data into TurboTax is only available for the current tax year. For a past year you have to enter the information manually.

TurboTax cannot import from the statements that you see when you look at your brokerage account online. It uses a special digital file that the brokerage creates specifically for importing into TurboTax. The import file is only available for the current tax year.
