I received a 1099-INT for the interest earned on treasury bonds UNITED STATES TREAS BILLS ZERO CPN. Are these taxable in NJ state?

New Jersey does not tax interest and gains from debt obligations of the federal government, such as U.S. Savings Bonds and
Treasury Bills.  If you would like to learn more about other investment income that is not taxable to the state of New Jersey click here.

Those $$$ should show up, and are entered in box 3 of the 1099-INT form.

 

When $$ are in box 3, the software automatically knows not to use those $$ in the various state forms...either not include them as state income, or as a subtraction from Federal income.....depending on how the particular state forms are constructed.
