Is the State and Local Income Tax Worksheet efiled?

Hi,

On my 2023 tax return that has been accepted, I made an error on the worksheet with the amount of my california refund, but with either amount turbotax said that I would not be taxed on it.

My question is this: I have already efiled, is this worksheet sent to the IRS? Last year and this year I itemized if that helps. I'm check to see if I will need to amend my return. Just as good, if there is a way to see exactly what was sent.
Thanks!

The worksheet is not sent to the IRS. If the refund was not reported as income on your federal tax return, and if it was correct to not report it, you do not have to amend your tax return. The amount of the refund that was not reported doesn't matter. The amount is not shown anywhere on your tax return if it's not reported as income.

And just to follow up to make sure I completely got it. 🙂
California reported to the iRS on 1099-G, Turbotax calculated that it was correct that I don't have to report it, and there's no need to "prove"/support the calculation to the IRS with a worksheet (showing why I didn't report it as income).

I do wish there was a way to review the package sent on efile. Thanks again for your help!
