Question

Is there a difference if I put 12 months instead of 7 for childrens residence? other parent claiming 1 dependent, I am claiming 1, they are with me majority of year

I put that I am custodial parent for both children, but I am claiming one as dependent and other parent is claiming one.  is there a problem?  do I need to amend my taxes to completely remove one child?

It would not make a difference. You just need to indicate that the child lived in your home for more than half the year, to get all the child-related benefits. However, you should always report the correct amount of time just in case of an audit.
