My daughter is 17 and made 2,000.00 working last year, does she have to file a return

If that was her only income and it was all on a W2 she doesn't have to file except to get back any withholding taken out.  The amount to report W2 income is 6,300.

If she got a 1099Misc (or any other form) she does have to file it.

Was her income reported to her on a W-2, or on a 1099-MISC?
