Is there a time of year when TurboTax is cheaper, e.g., further away from the filing deadline? Also, this year, I owe federal taxes. Do I wait for the IRS to contact me?

select BALANCE DUE.

Thanks. Does Turbo Tax offer the option to pay as I'm finishing up my filing? It's confusing that it would file and take my financial information but not offer me the option to pay - in a way that's easy to find.

For the fees? Yes you can file before March 1 before the early prices expire. Or you can pay the fees early to lock in a lower price. The early prices have been expiring on March 1.

For tax due. You can enter your bank info for the IRS to pull it out or say you will mail a check or pay by credit card. Then you can go online and pay the IRS or state directly on their website. Go through the File tab and you can pay the tax due.
