Is there a way for me to find this agi number out that the IRS has? Also, does physically mailing my return resolve this problem?

Yes if you mail your return you do not need the AGI.  That is only to verify you to efile.

When did you file 2017?  If it was late in the year try using 0 for the AGI. And see,
