Solved

Is there an easier way to enter all the states from which my mutual funds have received exempt-interest dividends? The user interface if very inefficient and bogs down.

The only state you are concerned about is your Resident State, where you could get a tax break.

You could enter that state separately and enter XX as the state code for the other states' totalled together.

Thanks Marilyn,

Being a retired computer guy, it just really irks me how inefficient the code is on this entry screen.  Once you get past 5 states, it takes minutes to enter the next five, and the time increases the more states you add.  You eventually get messages about a long running script executing.  Literally took me 2 hours to enter all 50 states.

From what you're telling me and the link,  I should just enter PA and group all the other states and a single line item.  Sounds like sound advice.

Thanks again.
