Is unemployment insurance comp on 1099-G taxable?

TT note says:  Note: Answer No if you only have state income tax refunds, unemployment, or paid family leave.

But then it never asks me for it later.  Confused

Yes. Unemployment compensation is considered taxable income for federal purposes.  Generally, the States do not tax unemployment compensation; therefore, an adjustment to your state income tax return will exclude the unemployment compensation. The TurboTax program will do the calculation for you.
