Is your employers state id number the same as a control number ?

I’m having to get a 14 digit control number for my refund and just want to know if it’s the employers state id number

No. The company's state ID number, if needed (the state has a personal income tax), is in box 15 to the right of the two-letter abbr.

the control number (box d) can be left blank even if there is one.
