Why is this still a chronic issue with turbotax and W-2s from other states, like FL?

This can occur when the state wages, salaries, tips, etc. reported on line 6 of AL Form 40 do not match the state wages reported in box 16 of the W-2 (1040) Input worksheet. These amounts must match for you to be able to e-file this return.

Thank you for your response, I understand, now, why it occurs but it was a difficult process. My W-2 from FL was directly imported into TurboTax from a major payroll company, therefore I was hesitant to edit the information. It caused my return to be rejected the day after it was due.
