Solved

It is saying my wife is itemizing deductions but she is not. She is claiming the standard deduction and we are married filing separately.

To change this in TurboTax, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
  2. On the Personal info Summary screen, click on Edit next to your filing status.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
  3. On the Let's confirm your marital status screen, mark the radio button next to Married.
  4. For the question Do you want to file this return together with your spouse? select the No radio button and click Continue  [Screenshot #2]
  5. On the screen, Let's see if these apply, unmark the box Either [spouse] or I claim itemized deductions.  [Screenshot #3]
