It's asking for box D and there's nothing in box D. And it won't let me leave blank. What do I put in it to move forward?
What do I put in box d if there is nothing in it?
A Control Number (box D) is used by many payroll departments to uniquely identify a W-2 in their system. Check the link for instructions on how to proceed if your W-2 doesn't have one.
