Question

It's asking for my spouse's adjusted gross income from last year - but we filed jointly. How do I know his AGI, not combined with mine?

You'll both use the same adjusted gross income (AGI) from your originally filed 2015 joint return.

To prevent a rejection, don't split or allocate the AGI, even if doing so seems more logical to you.

That's what I'm doing. I'm taking the exact number from line 37 and I keep getting rejected. I paid to use turbo tax to efile and it seems I'll still have to print, which is pointless, since I know I'm using the right number.

I am so tired of receiving this error message. I do t want to print my return and mail it. I enter our AGI from last year only to keep getting hit with errors saying my.spouse AGI is incorrect but we file married filing jointly and I'm  taking the information directly from the return.

Where do I find my AGI?

Your 2018 tax return shows your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) If you filed a joint return then the AGI is the same for each of you.

Form 1040        line 7

If you are using the same TT account that you used last year, you should also be able to find this number in your Tax Home for 2018

Note: If you filed late or amended your return, your correct 2018 AGI may not be in the system.
