If the IRS sent you a letter requiring you to verify your identity--which is fairly common--then you need to provide them with the information they are requesting.  TurboTax cannot help with that. TurboTax merely provided you with do-it-yourself tax software and cannot in any way verify anything about your identity to the IRS.
